Our approach
Reading is the fundamental foundation our children need to unlock every other area of learning. I have spent over 10 years in the classroom as a credentialed teacher and an intervention specialist developing primary grade students to overcome their struggles with reading. Small group, differentiated instruction works, and my goal is to provide that essential service within our community.
Please note that all lessons are non-sectarian (not Religious).
Personalized, Effective Instruction
All learning sessions will take place in the reading nook. Private and group sessions are offered. Small group (or pods) will consist of students who are on the same skill level and have similar learning goals.
Sessions are typically 30 - 60 minutes with engaging, hands-on learning tools and curriculum; periodic assessments chart each student’s growth.
Mrs. Miller has been one of the greatest finds for us this year in homeschooling! She is an excellent educator-she quickly finds out what the student needs and customizes their learning in a fun, applicable, and approachable way. Of all the teachers in the various programs we’ve tried tout, she is the most organized, experienced, and knowledgable in her area of expertise that we have found! My boy has grown so much in reading confidence in just a few short weeks and we look forward to seeing him grow under her instruction.

We do this to accommodate for different ages and attention spans.
